Lava India has introduced a new entry-level smartphone series, Shark, as part of its strategy to expand its portfolio in the sub-Rs 9,000 segment. Designed for first-time smartphone users, the Lava Shark aims to deliver a solid balance of design, performance, and durability.

The Lava Shark features a 6.67-inch LCD HD+ punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth scrolling and viewing experience. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint sensor with a response time of 028 seconds. The device is built to withstand daily use with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
Powered by the Unisoc T606 octa-core processor, the Lava Shark comes with 4 GB of RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM for enhanced multitasking. It includes 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD.
The smartphone runs on Android 14, ensuring an optimized and responsive software experience. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, offering up to 45 hours of talk time, 376 hours of standby, and 550 minutes of YouTube playback.
For photography, the Lava Shark is equipped with a 50-megapixel AI rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with screen flash. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac.
Lava Shark price in India, availability
The Lava Shark is priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available in Titanium Gold and Stealth Black colour options. It can be purchased from offline retail outlets across India this month. Additionally, the brand offers a 1-year warranty and free ‘Service at Home’ for added convenience.
