AYANEO has officially released the Pocket ACE, its latest Android handheld that brings together a retro-inspired design and modern hardware. The device sticks to a classic horizontal layout, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 platform, making it capable of running both older games and newer mobile titles smoothly.

The Pocket ACE comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display, using a 3:2 aspect ratio and 1620 × 1080 resolution. The screen is designed to match the feel of vintage handheld consoles while delivering sharp visuals whether you’re playing pixel-art games or more graphic-heavy ones.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 gives the device strong CPU and GPU performance. According to AYANEO, it runs games at high frame rates and performs better than most other Android handhelds, even competing with gaming smartphones.

Battery life is backed by a 6000mAh battery and 40W fast charging. With power management built in, it’s built for longer play sessions—useful if you’re gaming on the go. Controls are a mix of old and new. There’s a top-mounted D-pad and classic-style Select/Start buttons, and the ABXY buttons can be swapped between Japanese and Western layouts. The upgraded Hall Effect joysticks and triggers are designed to improve precision and avoid drift over time.

The Pocket ACE also includes a high-quality 0916B linear motor for haptic feedback. This adds vibration effects during gameplay—like during racing or action games—to give a more tactile feel. Ayaneo plans to launch the Pocket Ace on Indiegogo in the future.
