Red Magic has launched its new Dao Magnetic Power Banks—ultra-slim power banks available in 5000mAh and 10000mAh variants. They feature Qi2-certified 15W wireless charging, a built-in fast charging cable, and a sleek transparent design inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics. Let’s check out the key specs of these power banks.
Specifications
Both models adopt a cyberpunk-inspired, transparent shell with carbon fiber detailing and an anodized aviation-grade aluminum chassis. At just 8mm thin for the 5000mAh model and 14mm for the 10000mAh version, Red Magic has done an impressive job keeping the form factor pocketable without sacrificing performance. Both feature a unique 60° chamfered edge that enhances grip and gives them a premium feel.
Internally, the power banks are built around Apple-grade cobalt-lithium cells, offering up to 81% energy conversion and 50% more lifespan than conventional cells. The 5000mAh unit maxes out at 20W wired charging via its integrated Type-C cable (which doubles as a lanyard), while the 10000mAh version pushes things further with up to 45W USB-C PD output. That means you can charge an iPhone 16 to 60 percent in about 30 minutes—no wall plug required.
Red Magic has ensured full Qi2 wireless certification, which means true 15W wireless fast charging for MagSafe-compatible devices. Both models feature a 14N high-strength “ice magnet” ring for secure magnetic attachment.
Heat is usually the enemy of fast charging, but Red Magic’s Efficient Cooling system tackles that head-on. Using a five-layer thermal design and an AI-powered temperature control chip, the power banks keep thermals in check, even during fast charge sessions. That’s particularly crucial for users looking to wirelessly charge while gaming or navigating on the go.
Both models are 3C-certified in China and offer nine layers of electrical protection, including safeguards against overvoltage, overheating, magnetic interference, and short circuits. So while the exterior screams sci-fi, the internals are all business.
Pricing and Availability
The Red Magic Dao Magnetic Power Bank is priced at 229 yuan ($32) for the 5000mAh model and 299 yuan ($42) for the 10000mAh variant. They are now available on the official website and JD.com.
Earlier today, the company also unveiled the Red Magic 10 Air, its thinnest full-screen gaming phone to date.
