Casio has introduced a new addition to its eco-conscious G-Shock lineup in the US. The G-5600BG-5 is built using recycled resin scraps left over from Casio’s manufacturing lines, giving each unit a distinct appearance with a mix of white and olive green shades blended into a beige base.

The watch is equipped with G-Shock’s Tough Solar technology, allowing it to charge using both natural and artificial light. It features a shock-resistant resin case and band, mineral glass, and water resistance up to 200 meters. The case measures 46.7 × 43.2 × 12.7 mm and weighs 47 grams. The band fits wrist sizes from 145 to 205 mm.

The G-5600BG-5 includes five world time settings, covering 31 time zones and 48 cities, with options to swap home and world cities and toggle daylight saving. It also comes with a 1/100-second stopwatch for the first hour, transitioning to 1-second accuracy beyond that, and a countdown timer with a 24-hour range.
Other features include five daily alarms, one snooze alarm, an hourly time signal, a full auto-calendar up to the year 2099, and a white LED backlight with auto and selectable durations. The watch supports 12/24-hour formats, button tone muting, and power-saving mode, which disables the display in the dark. It runs for up to 12 months on a full charge without light and up to 22 months in complete darkness with power-saving on. Accuracy is rated at ±15 seconds per month.
The G-5600BG-5 is priced at $150 and is available now through Casio.com and authorized G-Shock dealers across the US.
