Xming is back with a new smart projector in China that doesn’t just aim for solid specs, it wants to be part of your home’s design language too. The newly launched Q5 Neo Plus is now up for grabs on JD.com for 999 yuan ($137), and it’s got more going for it than just a budget-friendly price tag.

Xming Q5 Neo Plus Specifications

The Q5 Neo Plus features a native 1080p resolution with support for 4K decoding, capable of projecting visuals up to 150 inches. It comes equipped with Xming’s PhotonX 2.0 fully enclosed light engine, which boosts light efficiency by 30 percent and reduces dust accumulation for longer-lasting clarity. The projector is rated at 240 CVIA lumens and offers a 2600:1 contrast ratio for deeper blacks and more vivid highlights.

The Q5 Neo Plus sports a dual-tone finish in Forest Green and Glacier White, inspired by natural color palettes. It includes a 180-degree integrated dual-axis gimbal that doubles as both a carrying handle and a flexible stand. The projector supports ceiling and side projection, with automatic focusing, multi-angle keystone correction, and intelligent frame alignment for effortless setup across different environments.

Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek 9-series chipset and packs 32GB of onboard storage. For connectivity, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring smoother streaming and wireless performance. The projector supports Miracast, DLNA, AirPlay, and Huawei Cast+ protocols without intrusive ads, for seamless screen mirroring.

Talking about software, it comes preloaded with Android 9.0 and Xming’s iQIYI Launcher, offering access to a wide selection of content, including over 100,000 video titles. Voice control is supported via a Bluetooth remote and Xiao Ai assistant, with additional integration through the Mi Home app and HyperOS Connect for smart home control.

On the wellness front, the Q5 Neo Plus features SGS-certified low blue light output and diffuse reflection technology, reducing eye strain during extended viewing. It also sports a smart fan system with real-time temperature monitoring, keeping the projector quiet and cool. Boot times are quick, with the system ready to go in just six seconds.

In related news, earlier this month Redmi introduced a budget-friendly smart home projector priced under $100, while Xiaomi launched the Smart Projector L1 in Europe and the UK, offering portable 1080p visuals with AI-powered auto-correction.
