Samsung has finally dropped the stable One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S23 series in India, following rollouts in Europe and South Korea. After a months-long delay, this Android 15-based update brings a bold UI overhaul, slick animations, and new features that make the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra feel fresh and snappy.
The firmware version is S91xBXXU8DYD9 as reported by Sammobile, which is a hefty 5GB download for non-beta users (800-900MB for beta testers) and packs the April 2025 security patch. Indian users of the S23 series can check for it via Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

One UI 7.0 brings a major improvement to the visual experience of the S23 series, rocking redesigned app icons, smoother, more playful animations, and a new charging animation. Widgets get a big upgrade with new styles, more customization, and home/lock screen options, plus “big folders” for better app organization. You can now group alarms and tweak calendar entries, and reminders with ease.
Samsung’s delay frustrated some fans, with X posts like @SamsungIndia hyping the update’s Galaxy AI boosts, including enhanced Note Assist and call transcription. The S23’s 6.1-6.8-inch AMOLED displays and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 are only going to shine brighter with this polish. Expect wider rollouts soon, but for now, Indian S23 owners can dive into a revamped experience that makes their phone feel close to the 2025 flagships.
