Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 16 series of smartphones. It is speculated that the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro may debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 phones in October of this year. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Smart Pikachu, reveals that the Xiaomi 16 will offer the largest battery seen on a 6.32-inch display.
Xiaomi 16 key specifications tipped
According to a tipster, Xiaomi is set to create the most beautiful flat display for the Xiaomi 16 series. The leak reveals that the Xiaomi 16 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED screen equipped with ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides. It will run on the upcoming HyperOS 3.0 UI, which is likely to be overlaid on Android 16 OS.
The leak further states that the Xiaomi 16 will feature a 50-megapixel triple camera unit and sport a thin and light form factor. What’s even more interesting about the Xiaomi 16 is that it will pack the largest battery ever seen on a 6.3-inch display phone. However, the leak does not mention the exact battery size of the Xiaomi 16.
At present, the OnePlus 13T, featuring a 6.32-inch display and Snapdragon 8 Elite, packs a huge 6,260mAh battery. The new leak suggests that the Xiaomi 16’s battery size will surpass that of the 13T. A previous leak from the same source suggested that the Xiaomi 16 may feature a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity.
Other reports have suggested that the Xiaomi 16 will offer an enhanced photography experience compared to the Xiaomi 15. The reason behind this is that, while the predecessor featured a telephoto camera, the 16 is said to be equipped with a periscope telephoto camera.
