Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge as its thinnest Galaxy S series phone yet. According to insights from its Mobile eXperience design team, the new S25 Edge has been shaped with a sharp focus on precision, slimness, and ease of use — all while staying consistent with the premium identity of the Galaxy S25 lineup.

According Jiyoung Lee, who leads the product design at Samsung,“This model represents the most essential form of a smartphone by removing all unnecessary elements.”

Measuring just 5.8mm in thickness, the Galaxy S25 Edge aims to strike a balance between sleek visuals and everyday comfort. According to Samsung, the S25 Edge features premium titanium for the side frame — a metal that’s both strong and lightweight — to add a refined edge without making the device feel fragile. The South Korean tech giant has gone for a “one-mass” body design that visually blends the back and frame, with minimal bezels enhancing the screen-to-body ratio.

In India, the phone comes in two shades, Silver and Jetblack, both of which align with the Galaxy S25 series’ new color direction based on the theme of light. “In designing the Galaxy S25 Edge, we considered color depth and saturation, material integration, user preferences and manufacturing processes,” said Hyoungshin Park, who led the CMF design. “This allowed us to express the symbolism and refined identity of the Galaxy S25 Edge while maintaining consistency with the Galaxy S25 series’ overall CMF direction.”

Despite the compact profile, it houses a 200-megapixel camera in a design that minimizes protrusion by matching the rear glass finish with the camera bump. Internally, teams worked across departments to make sure color depth, material textures, and finish levels met the standards set by the series.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is designed not just to look premium, but to feel comfortable and capable — a fresh take on high-end smartphones that don’t compromise on design or functionality. The S25 Edge has a starting price of Rs 1,09,999 and is now up for pre-orders. The phone will be available for purchase starting May 27 through Samsung India as well as online and offline platforms.
