OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition performance-focused smartphones will be announced on May 27. Both devices will feature MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400-series chipsets. The announcement sheds light on OnePlus’ strategy to redefine smartphone gaming with deeper silicon-level customization and performance optimization.
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra / Racing Edition to offer enhanced gaming experience

According to the brand, the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition are built around a unique triple-chip gaming structure. At the heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, paired with a dedicated X-Touch control chip and a specialized G1 e-sports Wi-Fi chip. Together, they form the industry’s first full-link hardware-level gaming architecture, engineered to deliver smoother gameplay with improved frame stability and lower power draw.
Optimization applied directly to the Dimensity platform allow this setup to achieve a 54.2 percent uplift in scheduling efficiency and a 38.3 percent reduction in core load. Power consumption across the system is also down by 10.3%, helping maintain consistent frame rates over long gaming sessions with lower heat build-up.

OnePlus claims the Ace 5 Ultra series can natively run top-tier mobile titles like Justice Mobile and large-scale open-world RPGs at 120 frames per second—even with 1.5K resolution enabled. This is powered by an exclusive Fengchi gaming core that delivers top-tier 1% low-frame performance, zero-lag interaction, and more accurate visuals.
Speculations are rife that the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition has a 6.77-inch LTPS OLED 1.5K 144Hz panel and a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging. On the other hand, the Ace 5 Ultra could be equipped with a slightly bigger 6.83-inch LTPS OLED 1.5K 144Hz screen and a 7,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition are confirmed to feature the Dimensity 9400 Plus and Dimensity 9400e chipsets, respectively. Both smartphones are said to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera. For gamers and power users, OnePlus has added a customizable Magic Cube button for enhanced in-game controls.
