Logitech G has announced the launch of the G522 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset. The new model features a more rounded and minimalist design. Logitech has positioned the G522 as a more comfortable and versatile option for extended gaming sessions.

The G522 features a redesigned chassis that supports a softer and more durable finish. The earcups use wider openings and dual-layer memory foam for added cushioning. Logitech has added a suspension-style headband with improved airflow and even weight distribution. The entire headset weighs 290 grams.

Logitech uses new Pro-G drivers in the G522 that are optimized for better spatial accuracy and multi-layered audio. These drivers support synchronized audio processing to reduce distortion and improve directional awareness. The headset supports 48 kHz / 24-bit digital audio processing, enabling clear reproduction of ambient sounds and in-game effects.

The G522 includes a 48 kHz / 16-bit microphone that supports BLUE VO!CE technology. Logitech has added advanced voice tuning options such as EQ, gain control, and noise filtering. The mic is removable and features an LED mute indicator at the tip.

The headset supports tri-mode wireless connectivity. It includes Logitech’s Lightspeed wireless protocol for low-latency PC gaming, Bluetooth for wider device support, and USB-C wired mode for audio and data passthrough. The G522 is compatible with both Logitech G Hub for PC and G Mobile for smartphones.

Logitech has used 27% post-consumer recycled plastic in the construction of the headset. The packaging uses paper-based materials as part of Logitech’s sustainability goals for 2030.

The Logitech G522 Lightspeed is now available globally. The headset is priced at $159.99 in the US. It targets users who need reliable performance, long-session comfort, and flexible connectivity without compromising on audio quality.
