The Galaxy Watch 8 is Samsung’s next flagship smartwatch lineup, and one of its models has just leaked in a set of high-quality renders.
If you’re keeping score, Samsung’s “Classic” models have followed a loose two-year release rhythm. The Galaxy Watch 4 from 2021 had a Classic variant; the Watch 5 skipped it.
The Classic made a return with Watch 6 line but the Watch 7 skipped it again. Now, all signs point to the Classic making a comeback in the Galaxy Watch 8 series. And thanks to an exclusive leak from OnLeaks (via SammyGuru), we’ve got a clear look at it in crisp, high-res renders.

Here’s the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in squircle design
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will have a squircle design like the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It will reportedly be available in a single 47mm size, which is a departure from previous generations.
For context, the Watch 4 Classic came in 42mm and 46mm options, while the Watch 6 Classic bumped it to 43mm and 47mm. The simplified sizing could be because Samsung now has a separate Ultra model in the pipeline.

Moreover, according to the leak, the Watch 8 Classic will pack a 1.5-inch display wrapped in a slightly thicker body. Dimensions clock in at 46mm x 46.5mm x 14.2mm. The renders also confirm the return of the rotating bezel, along with two buttons and an eye-catching orange crown.
Even with the chunkier frame, don’t expect a major battery upgrade. The Classic is tipped to get a minor boost from 425mAh to 435mAh, which, frankly, might not translate to much extra juice in daily use.
If Samsung sticks to its usual release cadence, we’re likely to see the full Galaxy Watch 8 lineup (including the Classic and a possible new Ultra) take the stage alongside the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 at Unpacked in July.
