I’ve had the opportunity to spend nearly two months with the new OnePlus 13s. Specifically, I’ve been reviewing the Pink Silk edition with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. OnePlus positions this device as a compact flagship that doesn’t compromise on performance or battery life, addressing a common pain point in the compact phone market. Having put it through its paces in daily use—from heavy multitasking to extensive media consumption and photography, I’ve formed a comprehensive understanding of its capabilities and how it holds up to its claims.

2Display and Audio

  • 6.32-inch OLED LTPO screen
  • 1.5K reoslution (2460 x 1216 pixels)
  • 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate
  • HBM / normal brightness: 1600 / 800 nits
  • HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision support
  • Dual speakers

The display on the OnePlus 13s is a 6.32-inch ProXDR LTPO OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. This translates to a sharp and vibrant viewing experience. The bezels are notably thin, measuring 1.34mm on the sides, which helps maximize the screen-to-body ratio for its compact size. It supports a dynamic refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, and brightness levels reach up to 1600 nits in high brightness mode, ensuring good visibility outdoors. Additionally, there is Aqua Touch 2.0, a feature designed to improve touch responsiveness even with wet hands, and a “Glove Mode” is included for enhanced sensitivity.

In terms of audio, the OnePlus 13s is equipped with dual speakers, which work perfectly while gaming and watching movies. There’s OReality Audio (the company’s spatial audio tech) and noise cancellation support, which enhance the listening experience while using earphones.
