Xiaomi‘s first flagship electric vehicle is making a bold debut in video gaming. A new announcement confirmed that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will be launching in Gran Turismo 7 soon, which is an exclusive PlayStation title. This virtual release brings Xiaomi’s EV to a wider global audience, so here’s everything you need to know.
Gran Turismo 7 Adding Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra Flagship EV
The Chinese tech giant is partnering up with Polyphony Digital for this announcement, during the Round One of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025. This collaboration brings the SU7 Ultra flagship EV to the popular racing simulator. To recall, Gran Turismo 7 is a sim racing title that was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
The game features hundreds of cars from automobile manufacturers across the globe. This includes even supercars and hypercars like the Bugatti Veyron, Formula series, and the Pagani Huayra. But the latest announcement marks the first time a Xiaomi model has entered the Gran Turismo franchise. Xiaomi’s CEO and Founder, Lei Jun, met Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi last month in Beijing, where the Japanese exec even test drove the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in Xiaomi’s EV factory in Yizhuang.
This EV even earned praise during its performance at the Nürburgring track, which stood out in the smart EV segment in particular. After its addition to the racing sim, we can expect future collaborations to bring concept models to Gran Turismo, like the Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO concept.
