OnePlus is deepening its footprint in India’s surging mobile esports scene. The company has announced its return as the Title Sponsor and Official Smartphone Partner for the upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 4. It marks a continuation of OnePlus’s multi-year partnership with Nodwin Gaming, the esports powerhouse behind India’s first televised BGMI tournament.
For 2025, every match in BGMS will be powered by the company’s flagship OnePlus 13, a device built to handle the demanding pace of competitive mobile gaming. It is a calculated move that reinforces OnePlus’s push to position its devices at the heart of India’s gaming culture, a market largely driven by Gen Z and millennial players.
BGMS has quickly become a marquee event in the country’s gaming calendar. Last year’s season drew more than 145 million views, blending esports with broadcast innovations like Powerplay rounds, Impact Player mechanics, and interactive fan zones. The tournament’s televised reach has turned BGMI into a cultural touchstone, capturing audiences that traditional sports often struggle to engage.
For OnePlus, the partnership speaks to the brand’s “Never Settle” philosophy. “This collaboration isn’t just a sponsorship,” says Marcel Campos, Director of Product Strategy at OnePlus India. “It is a validation of OnePlus’s relentless pursuit of product performance, now battle-tested on the biggest mobile esports stage.”
The partnership also builds on a long-running alliance. OnePlus and Nodwin have worked together across events like Domin8, Dominate 2.0, and Campus Dominate, helping shape India’s emerging esports ecosystem. As Akshat Rathee, Nodwin’s Co-Founder and MD, puts it, “This is about building the landscape together.”
In related news, OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 13s in India, featuring a 6.32-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, and 5,850mAh battery with 80W charging. It sports a 50MP main camera, 50MP 2x telephoto lens, and an innovative Plus Key for customizable functions. Available in Green Silk, Black Velvet, and Pink Satin, the phone starts at Rs. 54,999.
