The Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro made its official debut in China yesterday (11th June 2025). Alongside this gaming tablet, the company also confirmed this model’s global launch as the Red Magic Astra. But that’s not all, as the company also released the Shadow Blade 3 that aims to level up your gaming experience with a console-like controller setup.
Red Magic Shadow Blade 3: Upgrade Your Mobile Gaming Setup
Gaming tablets and gaming smartphones typically offer cutting edge hardware like advanced processors and an ultra smooth display for a better gaming experience. You might even find some nifty design features like shoulder triggers to make controls more intuitive. But the Red Magic Shadow Blade 3 adds physical buttons and joysticks that make it mimic a controller.

This enables your mobile device to offer a console-like experience. The Shadow Blade 3 isn’t exclusive to just the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, and supports devices of various sizes. In other words, you can use it on the 9-inch Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro or even smaller smartphones. It even supports Red Magic’s new smartphone cooling accessories as well. Looking at its design, we can see programmable buttons, linear motors, RGB lighting, and micro switches.
As of right now, the Shadow Blade 3 controller is currently on sale in the Chinese market for 599 yuan or roughly about 83 US Dollars. Unfortunately, the company has yet to confirm the global release for this gaming accessory. In related news, Sony also just announced its first wireless fighting game controller for the PS5 with its Project Defiant.
