As a professional balancing work, casual gaming, and streaming, I was thrilled when Asus sent me the Vivobook S14 Flip in Cool Silver for review. Priced at Rs 65,990 on Flipkart in India, this 2-in-1 convertible promised flexibility and performance. After weeks of using it for productivity, occasional video calls, and entertainment, here’s my experience with this sleek device.
2Display, Keyboard, Audio, and Webcam
The 14-inch Full HD+ (1920×1200) OLED touchscreen, enhanced with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT for scratch resistance and an anti-fingerprint coating, shines with vibrant colors and deep blacks, making Dabba Cartel and Squid Game 2 on Netflix a visual delight and photo editing in Lightroom seamless. Its 500-nit brightness handles indoor settings well, but reflections can hinder outdoor use. The 60Hz refresh rate is adequate but could improve scrolling smoothness.

The ErgoSense backlit keyboard is comfortable for long typing, while the large touchpad supports gestures but feels slightly loose when clicked. The dual speakers, featuring a smart amplifier for 3.5x louder sound and Dolby Atmos for spatial audio, are one of the major highlights of this notebook. It is one of the loudest I have heard from the laptops I’ve used, but later it started to distort at high volumes, so I used earphones for music.
The 1080p IR webcam with a privacy shutter excels for occasional video calls, enhanced by ASUS AI Noise Cancellation for noise-free video conferencing, and Windows Hello unlocks reliably in low light. Note that the ASUS Pen 2.0, which supports 4096 pressure levels and USB-C charging, is not included in the package.
