As a professional balancing work, casual gaming, and streaming, I was thrilled when Asus sent me the Vivobook S14 Flip in Cool Silver for review. Priced at Rs 65,990 on Flipkart in India, this 2-in-1 convertible promised flexibility and performance. After weeks of using it for productivity, occasional video calls, and entertainment, here’s my experience with this sleek device.
3Performance

The Asus Vivobook S 14 Flip, equipped with a 13th-generation Intel Core i5-13420H processor, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, delivers impressive performance for its price point. To evaluate its capabilities, I ran several benchmarks. Cinebench 2024 revealed a multi-core score of 443 points and a single-core score of 97 points, which appear lower than expected for the i5-13420H, likely due to thermal or power constraints in this laptop configuration; typical scores for this CPU are closer to 1000-1200 multi-core and 100-120 single-core.
For context, the 13th generation Intel Core i7-1360P, a higher-end version, achieves around 2000 multi-core and 150 single-core in Cinebench 2024, highlighting the i5-13420H’s solid mid-range performance. The Geekbench AI test showed scores of 810 (single precision), 353 (half precision), and 1523 (quantized), demonstrating good potential for AI-driven tasks. CrystalDiskMark results indicated the SSD’s read and write speeds at 3772.52 MB/s and 1835.98 MB/s for sequential operations, dropping to 27.14 MB/s and 34.08 MB/s for random access, reflecting fast large-file transfers but average random performance
