Honor has just unveiled the MagicPad 3 at its latest event in China alongside the Magic V5 foldable. This new flagship tablet is designed for productivity and creativity, featuring a remarkably slim 5.79mm profile and weighing only 595 grams, making it the thinnest large-screen LCD tablet on the market.

The MagicPad 3 sports a 13.3-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels (3.2K), delivering a sharp 291 PPI pixel density. The display supports a dynamic refresh rate up to 165Hz across seven selectable levels, including 144Hz, 120Hz, and 60Hz.

It achieves a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a typical brightness of 700 nits, peaking at 1000 nits for HDR content. The screen covers 91% of the front surface and includes Honor’s Oasis Eye Protection Display technology, which offers low blue light filtering, global DC dimming, and AI-powered modes to reduce eye fatigue and motion sickness.

The tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It features dual high-performance Wi-Fi antennas with long-range transmission and supports AI-powered Wi-Fi aggregation for enhanced download and upload speeds.

To manage heat, it uses a 13-layer Honor Ice-Sealed cooling system with a total heat dissipation area of 38,773mm², combining dual-direction vapor chambers and graphite for efficient thermal control.

The tablet runs MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15, offering advanced multitasking and PC-style file management. It includes AI features such as smart PPT generation, voice-to-text transcription with speaker identification, and automatic meeting summaries. It also supports seamless multi-device collaboration across Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS systems, with fast data transfer, cross-brand phone migration, and smart app continuity.

The MagicPad 3 includes a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP main sensor (f/2.0) and a 2MP macro lens (f/2.4). The front houses a 9MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture, designed for high-quality video calls and facial recognition.

The tablet features a 12,450mAh Qinghai Lake battery that supports fast charging and provides up to 18 hours of offline video playback and 11 hours of video conferencing. It incorporates the Dujiangyan AI Power Management System and the Honor E2 efficiency chip, which work together to preserve battery health for more than 1,000 days of use.

The MagicPad 3 includes eight speakers with a total output exceeding 95W and third-generation spatial audio for immersive sound. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and offers comprehensive codec support, including LDAC and aptX Adaptive.

Honor has also introduced a magnetic smart keyboard and Magic-Pencil 3 stylus. The keyboard features 1.6mm key travel and a pressure-sensitive glass touchpad, while the display enables ink restoration and smart handwriting input.

Pricing and Availability

The MagicPad 3 is available in four configurations:

  • 8GB + 256GB: 2999 yuan (~$418)
  • 12GB + 256GB: 3299 yuan (~$460)
  • 16GB + 512GB: 3699 yuan (~$516)
  • 16GB + 1TB: 4199 yuan (~$586)

The MagicPad 3 is available in Moonlight White, Glimmer Gold, and Starry Grey color options.
