NxtQuantum Shift Technologies has announced the launch of NxtQuantum OS, a new mobile operating system built entirely in India. Shared officially by the company, the OS aims to deliver a secure, transparent, and privacy-oriented experience for users in both public and private sectors. The AI+ Nova 5G and Pulse smartphones, which are set to debut on July 8, will be the first phones to come preloaded with NxtQuantum OS.

NxtQuantum OS: A made-in-India OS focused on privacy and control

NxtQuantum OS

Developed from scratch within India, NxtQuantum OS is engineered to give users full control over their data. It stores all personal information—preferences, history, backups—on MeitY-approved Google Cloud servers located in India. With no third-party access or foreign routing, it adopts a consent-first approach backed by Google Cloud’s zero-trust security model.

The operating system is built to serve a diverse audience, from individuals to institutions and government departments. According to Madhav Sheth, Founder and CEO of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, the OS represents a move toward digital independence, where privacy is not a toggle but a core value. Sheth adds that the system architecture ensures even the developers have no access to user data.

The OS features locally trained AI engines that enable smart, context-aware functionalities while maintaining data privacy. A custom-designed interface further enhances transparency and user control. With compliance to Indian regulations integrated by design, it’s ready to support sectors like education, defence, and public services.

A dedicated India Design Centre now manages the full lifecycle of the software—from updates to patches—without leaving Indian soil. The first AI-powered smartphones running NxtQuantum OS, named Nova 5G and Pulse, will be introduced on Flipkart, marking the beginning of a new, privacy-first mobile experience.
