A new leak shared by tipster Panda is Bald on Weibo has surfaced details on the upcoming Honor X70 smartphone. The phone is expected to launch sometime this month and looks set to replace last year’s X60 and X60 Pro with incremental upgrades in hardware and battery tech.

According to the leak, the Honor X70 will feature a 6.79-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution. That’s a slight bump in screen size compared to the X60 Pro’s 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, though there’s no word on refresh rate or display technology in the leak.

The phone will also carry Qualcomm’s newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, replacing the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 used in the X60 Pro.

A 8300mAh battery

One of the more notable changes is the battery capacity. The X70 is said to pack an 8300mAh battery, much larger than the 6600mAh unit on the previous model. The cell will support 80W wired charging.

Interestingly, the leak suggests the 512GB version of the phone will add support for wireless charging. That model will reportedly measure slightly thicker and heavier at 7.9mm and 199g, compared to 7.7mm and 193g on the standard variant.

Moreover, the device could come in white, blue, and black. The tipster didn’t reveal camera specs, RAM configurations, or pricing, though it will squarely fall in mid-range territory.

For reference, the Honor X60 launched in October 2024, starting at 1,199 yuan, while the Pro version came in at 1,499 yuan.

Honor’s previous X60 series offered modest specs for its price. The standard model features a Dimensity 7025-Ultra chip, a 6.8-inch LCD, and a 5800mAh battery. The Pro model brought a 120Hz AMOLED panel and better charging speeds.

The upcoming X70 seems to retain that value-focused approach. Its launch date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but with leaks surfacing and July already underway, an official announcement doesn’t seem far off.
