Xiaomi has launched its new Mijia 12kg washer-dryer combo in China. The product is now available for reservation on JD.com, priced at 1,899 yuan ($264). It is aimed at families who need a high-capacity appliance that combines smart connectivity with a space-saving design and intelligent functionality.
Xiaomi Mijia 12kg Washer Dryer Specifications
The Mijia washer-dryer (model XHQG120MJ101) is designed to handle larger laundry loads, with a 12kg washing capacity and a 9kg drying capacity. It uses a compact form factor, measuring just 610mm in depth, which makes it suitable for modern homes with built-in cabinetry.
Xiaomi has equipped the machine with a DD (Direct Drive) inverter motor that runs at up to 1200 RPM. The motor aims to reduce vibration and noise while improving long-term durability. Xiaomi provides a 10-year warranty for the motor. The washer supports water pressure between 0.05MPa and 0.8MPa and operates at a 1800W power supply.
The washing system provides a 1.2 washing ratio, which, according to Xiaomi, ensures much better cleaning performance with each cycle. It supports 26 different washing and drying programs designed for specific fabric types, including wool, silk, down jackets, and sportswear. For lightly soiled garments, users can also select a 15-minute quick wash mode.
The drying system features smart sensors that monitor temperature and moisture in real time. This helps the machine automatically stop once the clothes are dry, preventing damage caused by over-drying. Xiaomi claims a 14% improvement in drying speed over the previous generation, with a wind speed of 14.5m/s.
Xiaomi has also focused on hygiene features. The washer includes steam care for sterilization, odor removal, and wrinkle reduction. It achieves 99.999% effectiveness in removing bacteria, mites, and viruses. The machine also supports high-temperature drum cleaning, a door seal spray rinse, and uses antibacterial materials in key components.
The device is compatible with Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect and can be managed through the Mijia app. It allows users to schedule wash cycles and receive real-time notifications about the washing status. It also supports voice commands via the XiaoAI assistant and receives firmware updates over the air.
Additionally, the washer-dryer includes features such as inner drum lighting, a child lock for added safety, 24-hour scheduling, and the option to add laundry mid-cycle.
