LG has announced the global rollout of the StanbyME 2, a new version of its 27-inch lifestyle display. The screen detaches from its stand with one click, making it easy to use on a table, mount on a wall, or switch between portrait and landscape modes. A built-in strap lets users hang it like a framed clock or use it as an ambient display.

The display uses a 27-inch QHD panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 and a 60Hz refresh rate. It runs on LG’s α8 AI Processor, which adjusts brightness and tone based on ambient lighting. Audio is handled by 10W side-firing speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, AI Sound Pro for virtual 9.1.2 surround sound, and Clear Voice Pro for speech clarity. The speaker output changes automatically based on screen orientation.

The device includes a built-in battery that offers up to 4 hours of playback. Charging is supported through the docking stand or a USB-C cable. The display runs webOS 24 and supports hands-free voice control. It includes Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, LG ThinQ, and Google Home integration. Apps like Mood Maker and Let’s Draw are preinstalled.

Connectivity includes one HDMI with eARC, two USB 2.0 ports, one 5V USB port, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 5. There is also a Game Optimizer dashboard. The unit supports accessibility options like high contrast, grayscale, and inverted colors.

The display weighs 4.3 kg without the stand and 15.2 kg with it. Dimensions without the stand are 623 × 364 × 28.5 mm. A mini remote and detachable power cable are included. It operates on AC 100–240V with less than 0.5W power in standby.
