DJI, the popular drone maker, has just announced a new drone that strays away from its typical consumer market to focus on the agricultural sector. The Agras T100 is a large powerful agricultural drone designed for modern farming, so here’s everything you need to know.
DJI Agras T100: What makes it special?

Similar to its quadcopters that are known among photographers and videographers, the new Agras T100 takes flight from its four rotors. But rather than taking pictures or videos, it specializes in carrying heavy payloads for farmers or liquids, which can even be sprayed. In its video showcase, the Agras T100 can be seen spraying up to 170 lbs of liquid from its four nozzles.
It is powered by two batteries and can carry a total payload of up to 100 kilograms. DJI built this drone to help reach difficult areas. For example, the nozzles on the Agras T100 can spray a lush field of crop with herbicides and can even reach solar panels placed high up to spray and clean them. This is a large drone from DJI, which measures 35.4 x 32.3 x 36.2 inches, with support for key features like LiDAR, GPS, and more.

All of this clearly showcases that the Agras T100 is aimed at professionals in the agricultural sector to help farming needs with modern tech solutions. However, the product comes at an exceptional cost, which could be over 10,000 US Dollars. But this does go to show the versatility of modern drones. This announcement also arrives after DJI unveiled the FlyCart 100, which is a cargo drone that can carry 80kg payloads.
