Vivo has launched the Vivo Y50 5G and Y50m 5G smartphones with nearly identical specs in China. Some of the key highlights of this phone include a 90Hz refresh rate screen, up to 12GB of RAM, and a massive 6000mAh battery. The Vivo Y50 5G is equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD screen offering HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display features a waterdrop notch and is paired with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. On the software front, the phones boot Android with OriginOS 5.
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. They come with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While most variants use UFS 2.2 storage, the 6GB+128GB variant relies on eMMC 5.1. A 6000mAh battery fuels the device, which supports 44W fast charging and reverse charging.
In the camera department, both models come with a 13-megapixel single rear camera. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls.
On the connectivity front, the Vivo Y50 5G offers dual-SIM 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has an IP64-rated chassis that measures 167.3 x 76.95 x 8.19mm and weighs 204 grams.
The Vivo Y50m 5G is a nearly identical phone to the Vivo Y50 5G, offering the same design and specifications. The only difference is that the Y50m starts with 6GB RAM, whereas the Y50 starts from 4GB RAM.

The Vivo Y50 5G comes in four variants: 4GB + 128GB priced at 1,199 Yuan (~ $165), 6GB + 128GB at 1,499 Yuan (~$206), 8GB + 256GB at 1,999 Yuan (~$275), and 12GB + 256GB at 2,299 Yuan (~$316).
On the other hand, the Vivo Y50m 5G is available in three options: 6GB + 128GB at 1,499 Yuan (~$206), 8GB + 256GB at 1,999 Yuan (~$275), and 12GB + 256GB at 2,299 Yuan (~$316). Both smartphones are offered in Platinum White, Sky Blue, and Diamond Black color options.
