The Chinese tech giant’s new Xiaomi TV Stick is the first of its kind to come with Google TV support. It has the usual USB stick design with a compact body. Xiaomi’s latest TV stick also offers 4K output along with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ standards. On the audio front, users get support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound.
The company claims that the new chipset powering the 2nd Gen model is around 80 percent faster during regular use. This is a quad core Cortex A35 CPU, which is paired with an ARM G310 V2 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. Other notable features include WiFi 6 support along with HDMI 2.1 and micro USB ports.
The Xiaomi TV Stick (2nd Gen) was just announced in the market after rumors of its imminent release. But interestingly enough, the launch details arrive from an early listing on AliExpress rather than an official Xiaomi unveiling. While the global availability details like in the US market are still unlikely, the AliExpress listing is shipping this TV stick for around 65 US Dollars.
