Samsung July 2025 security update

Samsung has released the July 2025 security patch update to a bunch of Galaxy phones and tablets, ensuring they remain protected against recent vulnerabilities found in Android devices. As always, the rollout is gradual, meaning some users may have already received the update, while others may have to wait a little longer, depending on the region and model.

The July 2025 security patch is already rolling out to many Galaxy devices, including flagship phones, mid-range phones, as well as some tablets — and Samsung will continue to expand its rollout to more devices over the coming days and weeks. These Galaxy devices are currently getting the July 2025 security patch. If yours is on the list but you still haven’t received the update, it may arrive any time now. It should gradually expand to the remaining devices. You can manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > Software updates and tapping the Download and install button.

Samsung’s July 2025 security patch details

The July 2025 security patch includes numerous fixes from Google and Samsung, further strengthening the security of Samsung devices. According to the details published on Samsung’s security maintenance release page, the latest security patch includes fixes for 21 high-level and one critical vulnerability in the Android OS.

In addition to Google’s patches, the July security patch also includes one high-level security patch affecting some of the Exynos chipsets. Additionally, it addresses 17 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs). These are device-specific patches that span across Samsung phones, tablets, and wearables.

Security updates generally don’t bring new features or visual changes, and that’s also true for the July 2025 security patch. However, they include crucial vulnerability fixes to ensure maximum security against potential threats.
