Dangbei S7 Ultra Max Specifications

The S7 Ultra Max is positioned as a high-end 4K home theater projector. It uses a triple-color RGB laser light source and DLP technology, paired with a 0.47-inch DMD chip.

According to Dangbei, the projector achieves 100% coverage of Display P3, DCI-P3, and BT.2020 color spaces. It has a native contrast ratio of 8000:1 and can reach up to 150,000:1 dynamic contrast through the company’s DynamicX deep black algorithm.

The projector supports multiple high-dynamic range formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and DTS:X. Dangbei has equipped the S7 Ultra Max with its proprietary ELRS Eclipse optical engine.

This setup includes 48 laser units, 17 custom optical lenses, and an eight-layer anti-speckle diffusion module to minimize visual artifacts. The lens system features an optical zoom range of 0.98:1 to 1.6:1, which allows for flexible projection sizes between 80 and 300 inches.

Talking about the cooling system, Dangbei says the full-link liquid cooling solution improves thermal efficiency by 50% compared to traditional air-cooled projectors. The system also reduces operational noise to as low as 24dB.

Internally, the S7 Ultra Max runs on the MediaTek MT9681 chipset, featuring a quad-core Cortex-A73 CPU. It includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The projector operates on Dangbei OS 6.0, based on Android 14, and supports features such as autofocus, automatic keystone correction, screen alignment, and voice commands through far-field microphones.

In terms of connectivity, it includes two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC), USB 3.0, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6. The device supports wireless casting through AirPlay, Miracast, and Huawei Cast+. It also features dual 15W speakers with Dolby Audio support.

The projector weighs 8.2 kilograms and measures 336 x 202 x 287 mm. It ships with a 360W power adapter, a Bluetooth remote control, and standard accessories.
