In a refreshing turn of events, a OnePlus customer got one of the best deals despite facing the annoying green line issue. The company just gave a OnePlus 9R owner the greatest deal of his life by upgrading his phone to the newer and more powerful OnePlus 12R for just pennies. So here’s the whole story.

Did OnePlus Just Drop the Deal of the Year?

Earlier this week, a Redditor shared a new post talking about his customer service experience after his OnePlus 9R started facing display issues. You can already guess that the annoying green line problem reared its ugly head once again, but OnePlus was ready this time. This OnePlus 9R user had owned his smartphone for 4.5 years at this point and had already gotten his device fixed for free before.

But the issue resurfaced recently with a new color hue. Instead of the typical green line, his OnePlus 9R suffered from a pink line problem. Thanks to OnePlus’ commitment of lifetime warranty on display (for green line related services), the company would fix the display for free once again. However, the customer service also offered an alternative deal. Either get his phone fixed for free, or pay just 6,000 INR and get a brand new OnePlus 12R (8GB + 256GB model).

This was the easiest no-brainer as the OnePlus customer paid peanuts for his more updated and powerful new phone. We just covered a report regarding the brand’s latest OnePlus 13s compact flagship getting a green line issue, but that incident is still under investigation. But considering OnePlus’ response to this loyal customer, the company clearly has things covered for its users.
