ASUS might be gearing up to drop its first Xbox-branded gaming handheld soon. The ROG Xbox Ally recently appeared in an e-retailer listing, which hints that this portable gaming machine could debut soon. So here’s what we know.

ASUS ROG Xbox Ally Spotted on Amazon

To recall, the Taiwanese tech giant announced the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X back in June 2025. These two consoles were the first Windows based gaming handhelds with special optimizations that made them the closest thing we have to an Xbox handheld. ASUS unveiled the duo ROG Xbox Ally series with software optimizations for an Xbox full screen experience. The new modifications to the software allow the system to reduce background activity and end all non-crucial tasks. This makes the system more energy efficient while allowing it to divert more power to the games.

Despite all these upgrades, the brand had yet to release the duo in the market. But now, an Amazon product page listing has hinted at these gaming handhelds rolling out soon. The ROG Xbox Ally can be seen with the tagline ‘#playALLYourgames’. It was also spotted with a bunch of its key specs, like the 7-inch touchscreen display with an FHD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, this model is equipped with the AMD Ryzen Z2 APU, which is a Zen 5 based processor with RDNA 3.5.

The processor is also paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. It runs on the Windows 11 Home OS and a large 60Wh battery pack. ASUS’ Armoury Crate SE makes a return along with Xbox Game Bar and a more Xbox Wireless Cotnroller inspired design. A recent leak has hinted at the ROG XBOX Ally releasing for around 599 Euros, so stick around for more.
