Xiaomi has officially launched the Smart Door Lock 4 Pro on Xiaomi Mall, the first model in its new Door Lock 4 series.

Compared to its predecessor, the Smart Door Lock 4 Pro gets a complete design upgrade. On the outside, it houses a high-definition camera, while inside, it has a large cat-eye screen that gives residents a direct view of what’s happening at the door.
Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 4 Pro Specs
The lock is packed with unlocking options, up to 12 in total. These include AI palm vein recognition, 3D face recognition, fingerprint scanning, passwords, remote unlocking, and support for Xiaomi devices such as phones, watches, and NFC cards (sold separately).
It also supports palm vein recognition, which uses near-infrared light to scan veins in the hand. The more common face recognition relies on 3D modeling and liveness detection., Both methods claim to work in about a second with low error rates.\
As for the security, the door lock’s peephole features a 2MP camera with a 152-degree field of view, backed by a 24GHz millimeter-wave radar and AI human detection.

If someone lingers near the door, it records automatically and sends an alert. It also supports color night vision and switches to black-and-white mode in darker spaces. Inside, a display lights up whenever someone rings the doorbell, making it easier to check who’s outside.
Xiaomi has also built in an automatic lock body that closes quietly, along with multiple alerts for tampering, forced entry, or repeated failed attempts.
The battery life comes from a 5000mAh lithium-ion pack that lasts about four months and four AA batteries that last about six months. There are USB-C ports for charging both inside and outside, and backup power can be provided by a power bank.
Pricing
The door lock is available in China for 2,499 yuan (around $345). As usual, there’s no word on its global launch or price yet.
