Dyson has launched its new V8 Cyclone flagship vacuum cleaner in China. The cordless model, priced at 2999 yuan ($418), introduces five key upgrades, including a swappable battery, enhanced suction power, and improved filtration.

Dyson V8 Cyclone Specifications
The V8 Cyclone, model number DS20, uses an upgraded digital motor that spins at up to 110,000 revolutions per minute. It delivers a suction power of 150 Air Watts (AW), allowing it to clean fine dust and deeply embedded dirt from floor gaps, mattresses, and other soft surfaces.
Dyson clarified that the 150AW rating is measured without any attachments and emphasized that the vacuum is designed to maintain suction efficiency across various cleaning scenarios.

The device delivers up to 60 minutes of runtime on a single charge. It includes a swappable battery system, allowing users to extend usage time by replacing the depleted battery with a fully charged one. Recharging the battery fully takes approximately four hours.
The vacuum weighs approximately 1.65 kilograms and measures 1160 millimeters in length. Dyson has equipped it with a point-and-press trigger switch for easier operation and better ergonomics during long cleaning sessions. The lightweight build is suitable for overhead, under-furniture, and car cleaning tasks.
Dyson includes multiple attachments with the vacuum. These include a soft roller cleaner head for hard floors, a motorized mattress brush, and a crevice tool for cleaning tight spaces and window tracks. The V8 Cyclone supports three cleaning modes to handle different types of dirt and surfaces.

The vacuum uses Dyson’s sealed dual-layer cyclone filtration system. This setup captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and prevents secondary pollution. The dustbin holds 0.54 liters and empties with a single action. The filter and roller brush are washable.
Dyson claims the vacuum passed 15,000 impact tests and ran continuously for 425 hours during durability testing. The device supports a two-year warranty covering both parts and labor.
In related news, Roborock has recently launched the H50 Pro cordless vacuum with 80-minute runtime, 260AW suction power, and HEPA-grade filtration. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Vacuum 3 Base Station Edition, featuring an auto-clean base and HyperOS support.
