Honor has just unveiled a new budget smartphone that has a durable design and promises long battery life. The Honor X7d is the latest model from the brand’s X series. So here’s everything you need to know.
Honor X7d Announced: Big Battery, Tough Build
The Chinese smartphone maker just released the X7d as the new entry level model with the SGS 5-star drop-survival certification. This basically means that the smartphone has gone through and survived rigorous drop tests. Honor also built this phone with an IP65 rating for a dust proof and water resistant design (low pressure water jets). Under the hood, it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC, which is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no microSD card slot for storage expansion, which is often found in budget models.

It sports a tall 6.77-inch HD+ LCD panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, the Honor X7d packs a 108MP main camera on the rear, along with a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front houses an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Out of the box, the device runs on the Android 15 OS based MagicOS 9.0 custom skin. A highlight of this device is its huge 6,500mAh battery pack, which supports 35W wired fast charging.
The company has yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the Honor X7d. Although, it has confirmed its color variants, namely Desert Gold, Ocean Cyan, Meteor Silver and Velvet Black. This is all the information we have at the moment, so stick around for more. The new budget phone arrives mere days after the brand unveiled the premium Magic V Flip 2 foldable phone.
