According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the upcoming Z80 Ultra will feature a customized upgraded periscope telephoto camera alongside a “photographer’s edition” primary camera. It will be equipped with a new-generation full-screen display, which will probably have an under-display selfie camera like its predecessor.

It is also expected to house a very large battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. While the other specs of the device remain a mystery, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

To recall, the Nubia Z70 Ultra was unveiled in November 2024. With CMIIT certification already done, it appears that the Z80 Ultra may launch as early as next month (October) in China.

In related news, the Nubia Red Magic 11 is set for an October launch. It will arrive with seven key improvements: first-ever IP68 water resistance, an upgraded active fan cooling system, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a larger 8,000mAh battery, a new gaming-focused touch control chip, a true full-screen display with an under-display camera, and a refreshed cyberpunk-inspired design with 3D micro-engraving and RGB lighting.
