Samsung Display has revealed that the upcoming iQOO 15 will introduce its 2K LEAD OLED screen. It will be the world’s first handset to carry this new generation display technology. Rumors are rife that the said display will be also available on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is expected to launch in January 2026.
iQOO 15’s LEAD OLED display officially confirmed

According to Samsung, the LEAD OLED incorporates the company’s latest luminous materials, designed to improve screen clarity and energy efficiency. Compared with previous panels, peak brightness has been raised by 740 percent, while power consumption is down by 44 percent. The lifetime of the luminous material is extended by 50 percent and overall efficiency has improved by 76 percent.

A major shift comes from the removal of the traditional polarizer layer, which increases light transmittance, reduces energy loss, and enhances brightness output. In addition, LEAD technology was awarded “Display of the Year” by the Society for Information Display in 2025. It emphasises low power design, environmentally friendly materials, stronger colour reproduction, and differentiation in design, marking it as a new standard in OLED panels.
The iQOO 15 is the first smartphone to integrate this display, positioning it as a showcase of Samsung’s advanced screen innovations. The companies have previously worked together, but this marks the start of deeper collaboration in visual technologies. iQOO’s upcoming flagship will now combine Samsung’s LEAD OLED with other premium hardware, promising a balance of design, clarity and performance. Pricing in Rs and full specifications will be confirmed at the launch event.

The iQOO 15 is all set to launch in October in China. It will be a performance-focused smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity with 100W charging support. A recent image released by the brand revealed that it will feature a color–changing back panel.
