OPPO has begun rolling out the September 2025 update for ColorOS, introducing a range of new features and improvements. The update highlights efficiency, privacy, and overall system stability, with availability staggered across supported devices through September 30.

Oppo ColorOS 15 update

The headline addition is Map Album, a feature that allows users to view photos by their map locations. Powered by Google Maps, it provides a more visual way of organizing and recalling where specific images were taken.

ColorOS also expands on privacy controls. Users can now change their privacy password on secondary pages within Private Safe as well as in locked photo albums. Additionally, photos moved from the Private album back to public will now return to their original locations, making them easier to find.

For digital wellbeing, the update enhances Phone Manager, enabling users to track both daily and weekly screen time within app management.

Several refinements aim to improve usability. The IR Remote now features an improved layout for control panel buttons. Meanwhile, Live Alerts and notifications benefit from smoother animations when accessed on a locked screen. System stability has also been further optimized.

Rollout and Compatibility

The update is rolling out in phases from September 8 to September 30, and not all users will receive it immediately. Eligible devices include:

  • OPPO Find series: Find N5, Find N3, Find N3 Flip, Find X8, Find X8 Pro
  • OPPO Reno series: Reno 14, Reno 14 Pro, Reno 13, Reno 13 Pro, Reno 12, Reno 12 Pro, Reno 11, Reno 11 Pro
