Visual and User Experience

The update improves animations when tapping Live Alerts or notifications on the lock screen. A new map album has been added, allowing users to view all photos with location data directly on a map. Photos moved from the Private album back to public will now reappear in their original folders, making them easier to locate. Privacy settings are more flexible, as users can now change their privacy password from secondary pages of Private Safe and from the Locked album in Photos.

Productivity and Controls

App management now shows daily and weekly screen time, giving users more visibility into their phone usage. The IR Remote app has also been updated, with a new layout for the control panel buttons that makes them easier to operate.

System and Security

The update includes the September 2025 Android security patch to improve system protection.

Like previous OnePlus updates, OxygenOS 15.0.0.862 will be rolled out gradually. A small group of users will receive it first, followed by a broader release over the next few days. The update features may also differ by region.
