Gmktec’s flagship mini PC, the Evo-X2, has won the American Good Design Platinum Award 2025. The award recognizes the Evo-X2’s advanced hardware performance and compact industrial design. Gmktec launched the Evo-X2 in May 2025, positioning it as a top-tier AI desktop powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor.
The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 features 16 cores and 32 threads, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. It supports boost frequencies up to 5.1GHz and runs at 120W TDP under sustained load. The processor includes Radeon 8060S graphics based on RDNA 3.5 architecture and integrates a 50 TOPS XDNA 2-based NPU.
Gmktec claims the Evo-X2 delivers up to 126 TOPS of combined processing power. Internal benchmarks show 2.2x higher AI inference performance on LM Studio compared to the Nvidia RTX 4090, with significantly lower power consumption.
The Evo-X2 ships in multiple configurations, offering up to 128GB LPDDR5X RAM and 4TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. It includes dual M.2 slots for storage expansion up to 16TB. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB4, USB-A, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7 (RZ717), and 2.5G Ethernet.
The system runs Windows 11 Pro and supports large language models such as DeepSeek-R1 (32B to 70B), Llama 4 109B, and Qwen3 235B, depending on the RAM variant.
