After teasing the arrival of the Realme GT 8 series for the past few days, Realme has finally confirmed that it will be unveiled on Oct. 21 in China. The series will include the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro smartphones, both powered by Snapdragon 8-series chipsets.
Realme GT 8 Pro: What’s known so far

The Realme GT 8 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, making it a strong rival to the likes of the OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, and Redmi K90 Pro. It will also have an R1 graphics chip for a better gaming experience.
One of the major highlights of the GT 8 Pro is that it will be the first phone from the brand to debut following its collaboration with the popular camera manufacturer Ricoh. The Realme x Ricoh partnership brings five Ricoh GR-inspired color profiles to the GT 8 Pro: Positive Film, Negative Film, High Contrast Black & White, Standard, and Black & White.
On the front, the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a flat OLED 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is expected to house a 7,000mAh+ battery with 120W fast charging and wireless charging support.
Other rumoured features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, a metal middle frame, dual speakers, and an X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback. The phone is also expected to support a swappable camera module, enhancing its imaging flexibility.
Apart from the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Realme GT 8 is said to come with a 6.6-inch display and a 7,000mAh battery. It is also likely to include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and a metal middle frame. There’s a possibility that the Ricoh GR colour profiles and optimisations will also be available on the standard GT 8.
