Gmktec has launched the NucBox M8 mini PC in the Chinese market, a compact desktop powered by the Ryzen 5 Pro processor with onboard LPDDR5 memory and a front-facing OCuLink 4i port. It is now available starting at 1,999 yuan ($280) for the 512GB SSD version, while the 1TB variant costs 2,299 yuan ($323).

Gmktec NucBox M8 Specifications
The NucBox M8 runs on the AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 6650H processor, featuring six cores and twelve threads based on the 6nm Zen 3+ architecture. It reaches boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz with a 40W peak power draw.
For graphics, the system relies on the integrated Radeon 660M GPU based on RDNA 2, capable of delivering smooth 1080p gameplay in titles like League of Legends, Doom Eternal, and CS2. While it’s not meant to replace a full-fledged gaming PC, the front-facing OCuLink 4i port allows users to connect an external GPU for heavier gaming or creative workloads.
Gmktec equips the NucBox M8 with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory running at 6400MT/s. The RAM is soldered to the motherboard, which limits upgrade options but helps improve heat dissipation and stability. For storage, the system provides two M.2 2280 PCIe SSD slots, one supporting PCIe 3.0 and the other PCIe 4.0, with a maximum expansion capacity of up to 16TB.

The NucBox M8 uses Gmktec’s Arctic Ocean thermal solution, which includes pure copper heat pipes and dual top-and-bottom fans. This setup enables the CPU to maintain peak performance while keeping system noise at a minimum.
The mini PC offers a wide selection of ports. The front panel includes a 40Gbps USB4 port, two 10Gbps USB-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a PCIe 4.0×4 OCuLink 4i connector for external GPU support.
The back panel features another 10Gbps USB-A port, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, a DC-in power connector, and a Kensington lock slot.
For wireless connectivity, the mini PC includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It runs Windows 11 Pro and supports up to three external displays with 8K 60Hz output. The device measures 107×111×63 mm.
