Honor recently unveiled the Honor Magic Pad 3 Pro tablet in China as the world’s first tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. A couple of other brands are also expected to announce flagship tablets powered by the same chipset in 2026. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed that the upcoming Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 will feature the said chipset. Additionally, he has also revealed other specifications of the device.

As per the leak, the Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 will feature a compact 8.8-inch LCD panel that supports a 3K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a vapour chamber cooling unit with a large heat dissipation area.

The Legion Y700 2026 will house a 9,000mAh battery, but there is no information yet about its fast charging capabilities. As for its launch, it is expected to debut in the first half of 2026.

This device will succeed the Legion Y700 (Gen 4), which debuted in May this year in China. The device has an 8.8-inch LCD screen with a 3K resolution (1904 x 3040 pixels) and a 165Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The Legion Y700 (Gen 4) packs a 7,600mAh battery with 68W wired and bypass charging support. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 50-megapixel single camera with LED flash on the back. It is equipped with dual speakers tuned by JBL and a pair of USB-C ports, which can be used for audio as well as charging and data transfer.
