JBL has stepped into the kids’ audio space with the launch of the Junior Free. These are a pair of new open-ear TWS earbuds that are designed specifically for younger listeners. For parents looking for an audio solution that brings safe sound levels for children, these earbuds might be perfect. So here are all the details.
Introducing JBL Junior Free: Open-Ear TWS Designed for Kids
The known audio brand is known for offering powerful bass on its hearables, but with the JBL Junior Free, the brand is offering a safer listening option for growing kids. These are a pair of new open-ear TWS that have a volume level limiter that keeps the sound under 85 decibels to protect hearing. Thanks to its open design, kids can also be aware of their surroundings while listening to music.

Furthermore, it also arrives with features for parents, allowing them to monitor the usage of the wireless earphones via the JBL Headphones app. This can track both volume levels and time with the earbuds, which can help the parents map out the volume levels and control them from the app itself. On a single full charge, the JBL Junior Free can offer up to 10 hours of audio playback, with a quick 10 minute charging offering 3 hours of battery life.
Other notable features include an IPX4 rating for splash resistance, physical buttons for easier control, and a looped headband that surrounds a kid’s head for a secure fit. The JBL Junior Free has just been announced in Europe for 69.99 Euros. It is available in multiple bright color options, namely Purple, Teal, and Peach.
