iQOO 15 Could Be the Brand’s First Phone to Get 5 Years of OS Updates
The latest info arrives from a SmartPrix report. It seems like the brand’s latest flagship will bring the longest software support by being the first iQOO model that gets 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches. Recently, iQOO made an announcement that confirmed that it is expanding the software support for the iQOO 12. This phone originally launched with 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
Meanwhile, last year’s iQOO 13 came with 4 years of annual OS updates along with 6 years of security support. So among the various upgrades, iQOO could also bring longer software support. Just a couple of days ago, the company announced the Indian launch date of the iQOO 15, which is set for November 26.
iQOO focusing on long term software support is great for iQOO fans, as the company is competing with other Chinese brands that typically offer 4 years of OS and 6 years of security updates.
