Sennheiser has launched the SoundProtex Plus earplugs in India. The company describes them as a hearing protection solution for concerts, festivals, travel, and other loud environments. The earplugs aim to deliver clear, high-fidelity sound while protecting the user’s hearing.
The SoundProtex Plus is priced at Rs. 2,990 ($34) and is available for purchase through Sennheiser’s official website and Amazon.in. Each package includes three sets of acoustic filters (low, medium, and high attenuation), a set of full-block filters, three ear tip sizes (S, M, L), and a Sennheiser-branded storage pouch.
Sennheiser SoundProtex Plus Specifications
Sennheiser said the SoundProtex Plus uses a patented membrane filter design to preserve sonic detail and maintain a flat attenuation curve. This allows users to enjoy music and conversations at reduced volume levels without muffling or distortion.
The filters are designed for different noise environments. The High filter (SNR 20 dB) is suitable for loud concerts and motorsport events. The Medium filter (SNR 17 dB) is ideal for commuting and workspaces. The Low filter (SNR 10 dB) works for relatively quieter places. The Full Block filter is meant for sleeping, relaxing, or swimming, as it blocks all sound.
The ear tips are made from soft, medical-grade TPE. They are skin-friendly, reusable, and do not contain plasticizers. Sennheiser claims the vented structure of the design prevents pressure buildup and avoids the plugged-ear sensation during long use. The earplugs weigh between 1.1 g and 1.6 g, depending on the size.
The SoundProtex Plus is washable and can be wiped clean after use. The compact storage pouch helps keep the earplugs organized and accessible during travel, events, or daily activities.
