While Xiaomi is slowly but steadily rolling out the HyperOS 3 update globally, the latest major OS update is set to arrive in the Indian market. The company has just teased the next major software upgrade, bringing the new Android 16 OS and various new features. So here’s what we know.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 Update Will Arrive in India Soon
From its official Xiaomi HyperOS India account on X (formerly Twitter), the Chinese tech giant shared a teaser poster that confirmed the imminent release of HyperOS 3 in India. Looking at the image, the next gen OS update is “Coming Soon” in India. This is an odd post considering that the last tweet from this account was back in December 2024.
The brand has started rolling out the HyperOS 3 update in various regions across the globe; however, the Indian market is seeing a slower release. At the moment, even their flagship Xiaomi 15 series models haven’t received this major update. Although, some Redmi 13 users in the tweet have stated that their devices are getting the HyperOS 3 update.
To recall, HyperOS 3 brings a bunch of new features, like the Super Island, along with various AI powered tools, and an improved user interface. Apart from overhauls to the visuals and design of the Android custom skin, HyperOS 3 also improves Xiaomi’s ecosystem integration for a more seamless cross platform experience, including better support for Apple’s ecosystem as well. In related news, the company has just started testing HyperOS 3 for the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro.
