Both models feature a 6.55-inch flat AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (2736×1264 pixels), offering a high pixel density of 460 PPI. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth, with up to 6000 nits of peak brightness. The Honor 500 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process, while the Honor 500 Pro gets an upgrade to the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform built on 3nm architecture. Both devices support the Honor Phantom Engine, allowing the phones to maintain stable 120fps in a popular MOBA game, with the 1% low frame rate hitting 118.4fps and a claimed “0.00% jitter rate.”

Both smartphones run on Android 16-based MagicOS 10.0. The custom interface supports advanced photography features and cross-platform file sharing, including a new iOS Tap-to-Transfer option that can transfer ten Live Photos in a second.

The Honor 500 series is equipped with a 200MP main camera using a 1/1.4-inch CMOS sensor, which Honor claims is the largest in its class at this price point. Both models include a 12MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, while the Pro version adds a 50MP 3X telephoto portrait lens with optical image stabilization.

The lineup packs an 8000mAh battery, which Honor claims is the largest in its class while still maintaining a slim 7.75mm profile. The phones support 80W wired fast charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and 50W wireless charging (Pro only).

Honor includes IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. The Pro variant features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, while the regular model uses an optical one.
