Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Gas Water Heater 2 Constant Temperature Zero Cold Water 16L in the Chinese market. The model is now listed on JD.com with pre-orders underway, and sales are set to begin on November 30. The heater is priced at 1,699 yuan ($239).

The Mijia Smart Gas Water Heater 2 introduces a zero-cold-water feature that eliminates the need to wait before hot water reaches the tap. The system uses a built-in circulation pump to preheat the cold-water section of the pipes. Xiaomi claims this function provides hot water on demand across the entire household. It supports multiple preheating modes, including scheduled preheating, one-tap preheating, water-flow-triggered activation, and linked preheating with other smart home devices.
The heater includes a dual-drive intelligent water servo system that automatically adjusts internal water flow to maintain a stable outlet temperature. The system can regulate temperatures within ±0.5°C to prevent sudden hot or cold spikes during use. The heater uses an intelligent algorithm to control the water-to-gas ratio and keep combustion consistent.
It works with HyperOS and the Mi Home app, giving users full remote control. Heating times can be scheduled in advance, and custom automation scenes can be set up with other Xiaomi smart devices, such as door locks or bathroom heaters.
Xiaomi has equipped the heater with a TSI high-performance booster pump designed to maintain strong water flow in high-rise apartments. It also uses a direct current variable-frequency fan that supports ten levels of airflow to keep combustion stable under different conditions.
The product holds a CQC Level 1 quiet-operation certification. Xiaomi says it uses seven internal noise-reduction structures to keep the operation silent during early morning or late-night use.
The heater features a four-stage water filtration system that purifies water before heating. Xiaomi states that this improves water quality and protects sensitive skin. The exterior uses a pearl-white finish with a minimalist design that fits a wide range of home interiors.
Xiaomi has included several safety features, including flameout protection, over-temperature protection, anti-dry-burn systems, leak detection, and stable combustion monitoring.
In related news, Xiaomi has introduced a smart car humidifier with HyperOS support, USB-C connectivity, and compatibility with the SU7 and YU7. The company has also unveiled a new 12-kilogram front-load washing machine that supports HyperOS and offers 25 smart modes.
