Honor has just announced a new smartphone in its home market of China. While all eyes are on its performance focused Honor Win series, the brand just quietly released the Honor Play 10A model. This device carries a budget price tag, a big battery, and MediaTek’s Dimensity chipset.

Honor Play 10A Specifications

The Chinese brand has launched the Honor Play 10A with a tall 6.75-inch LCD panel. This screen has an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, low light mode for eye comfort, and an e-book mode. Under the hood, the Play 10A is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which is coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A big 5,300mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 15W wired charging.

Honor claims that even with a 10 percent battery charge, the Play 10A will offer 65 hours of standby time with the screen off and 3.4 hours of talk time. Out of the box, this budget phone also runs on the Android 15 OS based MagicOS 9 custom skin. For photography, the rear has a 13MP shooter while the front houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include microSD card slot for storage expansion, face unlock, dual nano SIM, and shock resistant body.

Pricing and Availability

The new Honor Play 10A was just released in China in three color options, namely Lake Blue, Blue Sky, and Ink Rock Black. It has a starting price tag of 799 Yuan (roughly 114 US Dollars) for the 4GB + 128GB model. Meanwhile, the 6GB + 128GB configuration costs 899 Yuan (roughly 128 US Dollars).
