Xiaomi is bringing its next generation of POCO M series smartphones in India soon. A fresh teaser for the new POCO M8 has just surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of the smartphone and even confirming its availability details. So here’s everything you need to know.
POCO M8 teased in India
The Chinese tech giant’s new POCO M8 has just surfaced on an official teaser that shows the smartphone with the ‘Designed to Slay’ tagline. Apart from this, the image poster states, “Power in your palm. Focus in every frame. POCO M8 5G doesn’t show up to compete; it shows up to finish. Designed to Slay.” The teaser confirms the Flipkart availability of the POCO M8, which is a popular e-commerce platform in the region.
We also get a look at the device’s rear design, showcasing its dual tone hue and its large camera module. Just last week, the POCO M8 and POCO M8 Pro had official looking renders leaked, so this design seems in line with what we’ve already seen so far. Another leak from a few days ago also revealed the key specs and release timeline of this phone.
Xiaomi will reportedly launch the POCO M8 in the Indian market on January 2026, while the M8 Pro may debut in the first quarter of 2026. The smartphone is expected to sport a tall 6.77-inch display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device might be equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, which could be coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Other notable features may include a large 5,520mAh battery pack, 45W wired fast charging, and an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.
