OPPO has officially unveiled its Pad 5 Matte Display Edition globally ahead of the January 6, 2025 launch event in Malaysia, where the Reno 15 series smartphones will debut. The tablet’s India arrival is confirmed through a dedicated Flipkart landing page revealing complete specifications.
As per the global product page, the OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition features a 12.1-inch 2.8K (2800 x 1980 pixels) anti-glare matte display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 900 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision support. TUV Rheinland certified, it reduces glare by 97% and blue light by 70%. The 7:5 aspect ratio screen pairs with the OPPO Pencil 2R stylus, offering 20-hour battery life and rapid charging (10 minutes equals 12 hours usage).
AI-powered productivity tools include Circle to Note, AI Recording Summary, AI Summary, Handwriting Formula Calculation, and AI Eraser. Real-time handwriting polish enhances note-taking capabilities.
A 10,050mAh battery supports 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging, delivering 53 hours of music playback, 15 hours of video streaming, or 6 hours of heavy gaming. Quad speakers provide cinematic audio output.
Running ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, the tablet promises 48 months of fluency protection, certified by TUV SUD. Cross-ecosystem connectivity enables seamless file transfers between OPPO Pad, iPhone, and PC devices through O+ Connect. Features like Quick App Launch & Switch and Flux Home Screen optimize user experience. The OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition will launch in Aurora Pink and Starlight Black colors.
Unlike the Chinese version of the OPPO Pad 5, the global and Indian market models will be rebranded versions of the OPPO Pad Air 5 tablet that recently launched in China. This device is also a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet.
