At CES 2026, MSI announced a redesigned Prestige laptop lineup aimed at business and productivity users. The update marks a clear shift from minor annual upgrades, with changes to design, weight, battery life, and input features.

MSI Prestige 16

The new lineup includes the Prestige 14, Prestige 16, Prestige 13 AI+, and Flip variants. All models feature a slimmer chassis with rounded edges and full aluminum construction. MSI says the redesign focuses on portability and daily use rather than raw performance alone.

Weight reduction is one of the most noticeable changes. The Prestige 14 now weighs 1.32 kg, while the Prestige 16 comes in at 1.59 kg. The Prestige 13 AI+ is the lightest model in the lineup, weighing 899 grams. MSI claims it is the lightest 13-inch magnesium-aluminum laptop currently available.

All Prestige models are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. Higher-end configurations use Intel Arc B390 graphics, allowing light content creation and graphics work. To manage heat, MSI uses a vapor chamber with dual fans and its Intra Flow cooling design. The company says system noise stays below 30 dBA during normal use.

Battery life is a key focus. The Prestige 14 and 16 are equipped with an 81Wh battery, rated for over 30 hours of 1080p video playback. This places them among the longest-lasting Windows laptops announced at the show.

Displays are OLED across most models. The Prestige 14 and 16 offer up to 2.8K resolution, 120Hz refresh rates, and variable refresh rate support. Higher configurations carry VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. All panels are SGS certified for low blue light and flicker-free operation.

The Flip variants add a 2-in-1 hinge and touchscreen support. These models ship with the MSI Nano Pen, which docks into the chassis and charges internally. MSI says a 15-second charge provides up to 45 minutes of use. The pen also supports a Copilot press-to-talk function.

Security features include TPM 2.0, Windows Hello facial recognition, fingerprint readers, webcam shutters, and presence-based auto-lock. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-A ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.

With this refresh, MSI is clearly positioning the Prestige series as a mobility-focused business lineup, with long battery life and lighter designs taking priority over traditional workstation-style hardware.
